2006 Show Schedule

All classes will be held in 2 parts. The first half will be filmed by Equus Eroticus/Magic Pony Productions.  That portion will be judged and awards will be distributed.  The awards will consist of trophies, ribbons, and checks for the top 3 places, 1st = $25.00 2nd = $15.00 and 3rd. The 2nd group will then be permitted to enter the ring.  This portion will NOT be photographed. Members of the first group will be dismissed. A final judging will then take place. Awards consisting of ribbons will be distributed to that group when judging is completed.

Classes will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to pay close attention to when the classes are beginning and to be ready anytime.  A gate hold can be requested for up to 10 minutes for those who are participating in back to back classes and need to change tack for the next class.  A glossary is being provided for exhibitor's reference and each class will have a class description.  The class description allows participants to know what they will be judged on.  We have an actual horse judge on sight who will be working with one of the Mistresses to judge the class.  Classes are judged on a point bases (1-5). Please note those classes with low participation will be combined. For example, English & Western pleasure, fine harness mares & geldings combined with stallions.  The costume class is actually an overall division and will be awarded at the end of the show. All ponies must have a bit in mouth to compete.

English Pleasure

Both pony and handler will be presented in the proper English tack and attire. English ponies are expected to show more animation.  They are "higher headed" and tend to be "flashier" overall. This description defines the pony with his/her chin high and steps are excited much higher. The judge will evaluate grooming, properly fitted tack, athletic presentation (time, fluidity, etc....) handlers abilities both in horsemanship & showing.  English ponies exhibit a flare and brilliance for shows.

Western Pleasure

Both pony and handler are presented in western tack and attire. The western pony is not a high stepping and high headed look. They are presented with the image of a calm/quiet demeanor, supple and relaxed. Western handlers are wearing cowboy hats and boots, chaps are not required but are encouraged.

Model

These ponies are shown in hand with only a bridle. Human ponies are "permitted should they choose" allowed to cover their breast and genitals. Model ponies are subjectively evaluated as the sexiest pony.

Halter

Halter ponies are shown in the same format as model but they are judged on tack, grooming and manners.  The model and halter classes will be combined to reduce the number of classes.  However, they will be awarded separately when the judging is complete.

Performance

This is an open division.  That means everyone can participate. This class allows each pony and handler up to 3 minutes of their own time to do a special "freestyle exhibit". This calls is your trump card. It holds 2x the power in overall points.

Other

A 30 minute break will take place after the showing is complete. This will allow the points to be tabulated and awards prepared for distribution. The championship trophies will be awarded at the end of the show Saturday. The ponies and their handlers will be called into the arena and receive these awards.

Sunday will be a "play day". A draft pull and agility/stamina competition will be offered. The work horses will be hitched to a weighted sled and judged by the distance they are able to pull it.  This will be followed by a barrel race and jumping class. Trophies and ribbons will be awarded for these classes.

Trail riding can be enjoyed throughout the weekend as time and weather permits.
