FAQ for 2007
Will be updated for 2008 soon
Do I have to pay if I just watch? Yes. It is only $100 for the 3 days which covers food, beverages, workshops, the horse show, play party, socializing (keg o' beer included), enjoying the open outdoors, riding in the arena areas (inside/outside) and trails, camping and RV parking (no hookups).. AND, if you are among the 1st 25 to pay, you will receive a $25 visa gift card upon arrival (you can use it to buy things from the vendors - Hint, Hint). Compare this to other events that are $350 or more!
May I bring/consume alcoholic beverages? Yes. However; You must drink responsibly. Inappropriate behavior and/or drunkenness could have you expelled from the event with no refund. We will have sodas and setups and a keg of beer. If you want anything else, BYOB.
Is Camping allowed? But of course.. Bring a tent, sleeping bag, whatever you care to camp with. There will be port a potties and outdoor shower areas. We do have a few tents here so let us know if you do not have a tent or camping equipment.
Can I bring an RV to stay in? Yes. There is plenty of room to park an RV however; there are NO RV hookups. You may need to run your generator and have your own water supply, etc... We also have a local RV Dealer that offers pull behind RV rentals that sleep 7 or 8. Contact us for details.
Do I have to bring/have a partner? No. You may come alone, with a partner or friend, with a group, etc... It does not matter. You may or may not find someone to play with, but chances are good that you will with the amount of players indicating they will be attending. However; there is no guarantee and this is not a match maker event. In general, most pony play enthusiasts are always willing to assist someone in experiencing this form of play... either as a pony, rider, trainer, or spectator. Plus there are non pony play participants as well.
What is the minimum equipment I would need to participate? That depends on your interests, class or division. For pony play, If you are new or do not have much tack, there might be someone with an extra bridle and bit, etc... There will be vendors that will have pony tack and other fetish/kink oriented toys. If you have other interests of play, then bring whatever you need to play with. Basically, the minimum you need to bring is a good attitude to have fun.
Can I borrow toys and tack from someone? Although some people do not mind sharing, please be sure to get the permission BEFORE you borrow and be considerate if you do borrow from someone. Remember to return what you borrowed clean and in the same condition as when you borrowed it. If you need assistance in knowing how to clean the toy, ask a staff member or someone who is not in a scene (it is inappropriate to distract or interrupt someone in a scene). Please keep in mind some people do NOT like to share their toys and this is not directed toward you personally. There will be vendors who will have toys and tack to sell at an event discounted price.
Is there lighting for outside play at night? Yes, there are some lighted areas and the dungeon/play space is enclosed plus there is an indoor riding area.
Will there be nudity, and may genitals be exposed? Yes, nudity is allowed and encouraged but is not required and yes, genitals may be exposed and probably will be by many attendees and ponies. If nudity bothers you, bring a blind fold <smile>!
What about touching genitals? Yes. In most cases touching genitals is not a problem. However; this goes back to permission from the person or the person's dominant. Be respectful of these rules and guidelines. Also, be respectful of basic protocol. If you are unsure (and it's not your own), ask the handler/owner of the pony, or a monitor, etc... and finally, IF in doubt... DON'T!
Are cameras allowed? Yes and No!! Personal cameras, cell phone cameras and photos are not allowed in general (photo areas and times for private photos may be allowed but must be cleared in advance with the MOD-Manager on Duty). However; there will be approved photographers taking photos and videos at the event. All attendees have a CHOICE to be photographed or to NOT be photographed. Those who do not wish to be in a photo or photographed will have an armband (bright orange most likely) so the staff photographers will know to avoid getting them in a shoot. All persons who are ok with photographs will be required to sign a consent and model release form. For more information on this policy, feel free to contact us.
Can I stay in pony role for an extended duration? Yes. It is not for everyone and advance negotiations are required. You can stay in role as long as you like or just for a short time. Again, It's not for everyone, but the opportunity to experience being kept in a stall/barn LIKE (or AS) a horse is possible. There will be at least 2 for this year (2007).
Will there be anything other than the horse show and classes? Yes. In fact, most of the workshops are non pony play oriented or may be a variation that could be included in pony play. There will be a dungeon set up for various forms of bdsm play as well as plenty of room and trails for doing pony play or other outside forms of play.
Can I smoke tobacco? Yes, however; The weather has been very dry in this area and there is a no burn alert in affect. Smoking is allowed ONLY in designated smoking areas. There is NO SMOKING in the barn, dungeon or inside social area.
